Substance Never Goes Out Of Style.

Point A

Its is my pleasure to inform you all that these three gentlemen are official models of the Dudley Blumsfield fall campaign. They exemplify the true meaning of “Substance within style” in their ever day lives no matter the weather. Pivoted on the east coast than stretched to the pebble streets of France these gentlemen display the perfect depiction of what I see every day. Living each journey while expressing the way they feel through selfless displays of stylistic emotion.

The Dream

If I lived in the sixties  my vehicle of choice would be a Triumph speedster…so fucking cool! Something about exposing your self to the open doors can be life altering. The world is moving at an alarming rate day by day and every one’s stuck in their little bubbles; nobody wants to just stop, look, and listen. When the wind blast against your skin and the stripped white pavement seems to become one consistent line the world begins speaking to you in a way it never did before. One has to first take himself out of his comfort zone to expand understanding, knowledge, and style.

The Strength…..

The relationship between  model and photographer has always been an interesting one. Some how two different individuals must have the ability to pull greatness out of one another; almost like the perfect love hate relationship…for a day.  No matter the element or condition two people must mold into something so unique that time has no existence and the flicker of a flash can be the only object to correctly explain it. The human mind can bend any thing, make the biggest objects seem small, and depict images that where never there………

SOULS of Original

The underground bar scene has landed and it’s “Kinda Like A Big Deal.” Tray(far left) came to visit this past weekend and you all know I had to show him some Cali love. All the different types of cultures migrating to one location and sharing one common goal is exciting…to get their “drank” on. I love the brick walls and old candle stand  so I just had to grab a snap shot. Here’s two guys truly sticking to their culture in a very creative manner; Mr. Jay SouLA and Matthew McRenyolds . They traveled all the way from Long Beach to join the drinking festivities. I recently joined these two gentlemen for their collection showcasing in downtown Long Beach recently(at a ridiculously pure hip hop bar). We’ll be working together soon so don’t worry guys they can’t exclude you out.

Our Runway

About 2am exactly the three of us just got bored; So we came up with this idea to show case new pieces that we all happen to purchase on our daily adventures. Nsilo a.k.a. S.O.L.E LUVA spent his hard-earned money on a new Undefeated light blue Oxford shirt(he wants to switch up his look). While in the fixie market shopping around and I spend time challenging myself to create ways to change a persons wardrobe from day-to-night while living the “Fixed Geared” lifestyle……Here’s the first idea; S.OL.E LUVAS’ way

OH! take a close look at DeVons’ front pocket cell phone fade…..nice fit too

Out-in-about on Robertson a few days ago I spotted a bed of colourful flowers that some how matched DeVons bright red pants(which I could never wear). The dark elements of his skin, blazer, tie, briefcase, boots, and umbrella seem to correspond to natures much-needed soil. His sprouting pocket square seem to be the perfect balance and symbolism of seed to full bloom. Substance within style is every thing……..

I saw this gentlemen wearing an amazing red shooters vest the day before and I held a quick cross walk conversation with him. A few days latter I spotted Mr. Joshua Gilman sporting a Sugar Cane x Mister Freedom work/fisher mans vest. The longer we spoke the more we shared and thus came an instant connection which bared no colour line; character recognizes character and style recognizes style.

Introducing

So! as I turned to lock my front door a familiar face appeared into the light. One of my best friends from college DeVon Drakkar Lane Simmons simple stated “I’m back in LA and with nowhere to stay.” Being a good friend I turned my back and quickly started to walked away(lol just joking), I gave him the signature hand shake and tossed that brown duffel into the pad. While being skyped via Milan for castings or posing for Levi Strauss and 3sixteen mr. Simmons will be one of the two official models for Dudley Blumsfield(my work). I’m excited to see where this year carries us.
